The Urine Detox Countdown


If you're thinking about letting your urine detox by itself, it's probably a good idea to know how long you have to wait. Here is a list provided by NIDA for urine detox drug detection times. It's a bit ironic that urine detox takes the longest for marijuana and marijuana cousins such as hashish. By being more likely to catch those with the longest urine detox times, drug tests are basically biased against marijuana users. It's also rather ironic that urine detox takes only a few hours for alcohol which is, of course, the most widely abused drug in the world.

A random drug test every six months or so is approximately 75% more likely to turn up a marijuana user than a user of any other drug. Considering that marijuana is the most widely used illegal drug, the percentages will actually be much higher in many test groups. Of all drugs, marijuana is the most accepted and the least likely to disrupt lives and work habits. When you review the urine detox tables, you really have to wonder how drug testing is helping improve productivity in the workplace.
